Sorry for the lack of posts, but my final year of Undergrad is taking a toll on my free time! Hopefully I can resume a regular posting schedule in a few weeks. Until then, keep checking back because I might get a few spare moments to post something fabulous!

Paper dolls for Grown-ups!

Refinery 29  pointed me to an absolutely genius innovation by I Love Mel: paper dolls for grown up! With selection from high fashion, Gossip Girl characters, Kate Moss, Beyonce the new Debbie Harry paper doll, I think this could be the most fun an adult could have with paper and scissors! I must get my hands on some of these!

Celeb Fashion Sunday (Monday)

I missed posting my "Celeb Fashion Sunday" yesterday because I was watching the Daytona 500 (did you see the rookie Trevor Bayne take the win? I predicted it!) and visiting with my family in honour of Ontario's Family Day, which is today.

The wonderful lady who's fashion I'm admiring this week is the gorgeous Kerry Washington. She always manages to look flawless and picture-perfect.

The sparkly dress makes her glow

I love the colour combination she plays with here. Orange and yellow are so summery!

At the Calvin Klein Women's Collection show, Kerry sticks with a simple dress and accessories and nails it.

Possibly my favourite look ever.

Love this!

She even looks amazing when she rocks out! Jealous.
I'll be back later on today to post something that's freaking cool (pardon my English) and I must get my hands on them!! Until then, xo

Packin' Up!!

I'm packing up for my University's reading week. I seriously hate packing, but it seems that I've become quite the professional at it these past four years, moving back and forth between my University "home" and my family home.

My current luggage is very well loved and I'm in the market for a new (and more chic) set. Here are some of the favourites I came across...

Chanel in white! My favourite! {image}
This Coach one is a close second favourite. I like this one because I have a handbag circa 2008 that is quite similar! {image}
Traveler's Choice Freedom II Hardside would be really durable and practical, and cute in pink!
Love the shape and structure of these babies from Streamline Luggage. They are so timeless and chic!

This set would certainly give travelling a cheery punch, and you'd never have to worry about losing them!

White Hot

Fashion Magazine Blog reported back with some of the hottest trends at spring fashion shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris. I was ecstatic to see that white is trendy this spring, because I absolutely adore white! I've developed my love for it intensely the past few months, I'm glad I can exercise my love of it continuing into spring.

... LOVE the white trench. It's my favourite out of all of them, although I do think I would shorten it a bit because the length would overwhelm my shorty bod. What's your favourite?

Until tomorrow, xo

V-Day!

First, my alarm did not go off and I woke up too late to make it to class on time.

Then, I looked out my window and saw this:

Great start to the day. It's like the Gods know how much I dislike this day to begin with!
However, I did have a great weekend! It consisted of:

Chocolate covered strawberries

and

The Bourne Trilogy

and

The Fast and the Furious.

I chose to reward myself with my two three loves: Paul Walker, Matt Damon and chocolate.

Happy Valentine's Day loves!! xo

Celeb Fashion Sundays

I thought it would be fun to do a series of posts every Sunday, and what a better way to begin the week than to look to my favourite celebs for fashion inspiration. To start this off, without a doubt in my mind I looked to the ever-flawless Carrie Underwood. I've been Carrie's stalker fan since the beginning (I buy ALL her albums) and she's not only gorgeous on the outside but on the inside as well!

Photos from clockwise from top left found here, here, here, here and here

The best part of Carrie's fashion sense is that she can keep it real and still look adorable! Doesn't that make you want to hate her just a little
Photos found here, here and here

Doesn't Carrie always look amazing? Which celebs do you turn to for fashion inspiration? I am already thinking about who I'm going to feature next week!

 Until later, my lovelies xo

Restless

I want to go somewhere/do something but I just don't know where or what it is! I have tons of stuff do do (the good ol' laundry list) but I just can't motivate myself to accomplish anything. Do I have the winter blues? I just know that I need to have a change in scenery or do something to stimulate my mind soon or I might go insane.

Perhaps if I dream about laying in that hammock with the ocean breeze gently caressing my skin the feeling will pass... how about you? Are you over winter as much as I am?

Chocolate Porn

Martha Stewart is a goddess/genius/idol. She never fails to impress me with her ingenuity and creativity. These chocolate desserts for Valentine's Day are almost too much to bear. They all look so delicious!

Who cares if you're taken or single this Valentine's Day, I say indulge in one of these simply delicious and decadent desserts! xo

Spring Trend: Chiffon

I was reading one of my favourite sites for fashion and beauty trends, Refinery 29 and they had a fabulous article about the spring fashion trend, chiffon. Of course I desire to be indulged by anything spring these days, so I gobbled it up. However beautiful some of that clothing is, it's just not realistic for my student budget. I searched for some budget-friendly ways to incorporate chiffon into my wardrobe this spring, and here's what I came up with!

From top: Chiffon Flowers Headband $4.80 Forever 21 Canada/Delicate Chiffon Woven Top $23.80 Forever 21 Canada/AE Ruffled Miniskirt $14.95 Online Only/AE Ribbon Bangle $9.95/Floral Print Chiffon Tops $26.50 Old Navy/Bright Chiffon Skirt $17.80 Forever 21 Canada/Chiffon Rosette Dress $23.80 Forever 21 Canada

These are all items that are reasonably priced and easy to incorporate into daily wear, am I right? However, I did find one piece that I absolutely adored. I'll add this one to the "someday" list:
Emily Rose Applique Chiffon Dress $328.00 BCBG Max Azria

I hope everyone is staying warm and not going stir-crazy like I am! I wish it could be spring like yesterday!
Until later, my lovelies xo

Rinze Van Brug

How lovely are these fashion photos from New York photographer Rinze Van Brug? These ones are from the Dulcinee Clothing shoot. They make me want spring weather ASAP.

Be sure to also check out his blog for even more fabulous and inspirational photography.

Gleeful!

Did anyone else catch the episode of Glee last night? I KNOW that I said I was not fond of Valentine's Day, but the Valentine's Day episode of Glee had me smiling from ear to ear for the entire hour. It was so funny and sweet, I couldn't help but grin. I also loved the song choices, but my favourite by far was "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Puck. I know it was insulting to Lauren, but I'm rooting for them to get together anyways!

On another Glee note, have you heard of the Sephora by O.P.I Glee set of mini nail colours? With names like "Slushied, Gleek Out, and Sue vs. Shue" these colours are a must-have for any die hard Gleek. And at $24 for the entire set, I'd say that's a pretty reasonable price to pay for a lifetime (okay, maybe not, but I'm sure the polish lasts awhile) of happiness!
Buy the polish here

I'll leave you with a final Glee-related find that is completely darling. The blog What Would Emma Pillsbury Wear? is completely genius and I must admit, fosters my unhealthy relationship with cardigans, pencil skirts, and anything feminine. Let's be serious, Emma is a fashion icon and you can go here to find out how to get her look for less, and just to revel in her style. *Sigh* Make sure to check it out!

Spring Blues

Clockwise from left: OPI Nail polish in Breathe Life/IKEA Turquoise Candle/Forever 21 Bead& Feather Earrings/
Tiffany Cosmetic Bag/Steve Madden Pumps/Apartment Therapy
Okay, I am seriously over winter. Here in the frigid North, winter seems to draw out over the course of half the year. I am yearning for warm days where I can wear footwear/clothing/accessories for fashion's sake instead of for utility! To help me escape the sub-zero temperatures for a few moments, I decided to dream about spring trends.... ahhhh. This spring, robin egg blue is a hot colour to try out, but I love turquoise just as much. My most coveted item in this list is the Tiffany's bag. It seems fitting that my parents named me after one of the most glamourous coveted, fabulous jewelry stores, as I have a certain panache for all things exquisite and beautiful. Perhaps one day I will be able to justify spending $150 on a cosmetic bag!  Until then, I will have to be content with satisfying my robin egg blue/turquoise craving through less expensive avenues...like with the earrings/candle/nail polish.
Until later, my lovelies xo

February Love

Valentine's Day is just around the corner! I'm not into the cheesy aspect of Valentine's, and because I'm single, there's a certain disdain I hold for this day, just because I have to watch other people engage in overtly affectionate behaviour. *Insert gag here.* However, I hold true to the fact that Valentine's Day is a day to pamper your loved ones, and it's a good excuse to pamper the person I love the most-ME! Wait, did that sound narcissistic? I'm really not, but let's be honest- if you don't love yourself, then no one else will appreciate you for who you are. So single ladies (and taken ladies), take this day to pamper yourself with a little something special! I found my four top picks from a new-to-me store called Ruche. They have a section entitled "Shop L'Amour" which I think is darling.

I would love to have that mug to drink my morning coffee out of, and I adore accessories! I can never get enough! What about you, do you practice a little self-love on Valentine's Day, single or not? Or am I the only one?
Until tomorrow, my lovelies xo
