summer is still alive!

It may be September and while fall may be my favourite season, I'm holding onto every morsel of summer I can get. That's why with temperatures in the 30s today and a long weekend on the horizon, summer is still very much alive in my mind.

Fall can wait until next week!

a pop of posies

These awe-inspiring lovelies are brought to you courtesy of Pinterest. Seriously, I know I keep talking about it, but it is ADDICTING! Love how all these images have flowers (some in a non-descript way), but they are all my focus is drawn to. Flowers complete a space if you ask me!

{1/2/3&4/5}

Feast on all the gorgeous images your eyes can handle with me on Pinterest! Have you recently used flowers to complete a space? And who would have thought that a stack of suitcases could make a surprisingly cute and chic bedside table?

returning home

I suppose y'all think I fell off the face of the earth. I apologize eternally for essentially disappearing this summer. Not only was I extremely busy working, tutoring and just enjoying my break, I also lacked motivation in the creativity/inspiration department. Lately, however, I've been overflowing with inspiration and thoughts, so naturally I had to come here- that's the reason why I created this blog in the first place. Sometimes, it felt like more of a chore than a joy, and that's totally not what I wanted from my creative little outlet here. Nonetheless, I intend to do at least a weekly post for the remainder of the summer, and then once school begins in September I will be back in full force! What about you- do you ever get uninspired and lack motivation for blogging? Or am I the only one?

NY is Killing Me

Did you get my reference to Hoodie Allen's new song? If not, listen to it here (warning: PG-13). He's an amazing up and coming rapper who is extremely talented, and seems so down to earth. Support him!

Back to the matter at hand, though. I am enthralled with these black and white photos of New York City by Dave Beckerman.  The photos romanticize the city to a point where I can barely stand sitting here any longer. I feel like I should be on the next plane out. Absolutely stunning, aren't they?

A Garden Daydream

I gushed about the first volume of Ruche's spring lookbook in this post  awhile back. Now I'm back to gush some more. Their second volume of the 2011 Spring lookbook entitled "A Garden Daydream" is absolutely stunning. The dreamy, feminine and ethereal photos make me crave warmer weather, floral prints, bright nail polish and loose waves gathered in a side pony.
What I think a modern-day Jane Austen heroine would look like.
Have a peek at their lookbook here. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Spring has Sprung

... at 7:21 pm EDT and I couldn't be more excited! This is the day I have been waiting for since January! To celebrate, I found pictures of things that speak "spring" to me! I love bright pinks, yellows and blues, floral patterns and sheer fabrics for a spring-like feeling.

Don't forget to bask in the warming temperatures, smile at the chirping birds and stop to inspect the budding flowers. You will catch me merrily skipping along, doing all three tomorrow!
Happy Spring my loves xo

ScarJo for Mango

...Hey, that totally rhymes! Anyways, I love the photos for Scarlett Johansson's Spring '11 Mango campaign. They've definitely got a retro, '60s inspired feel to them, and she looks absolutely stunning, as usual.

 My fave of the bunch.

Watch the video on the link below as well. It's so interesting to see how an actual photoshoot turns into the pictures we view in advertisements!

Yay for Friday!

Celeb Fashion Sundays!

Rachel McAdams. The epitome of old fashioned glamour. She's one of my favourite celebrities, and I feel a connection to her, because she is from St. Thomas, a 15 minute drive from my hometown! I had such a hard time selecting images this week because I wanted to include them all. They are just that good. I focussed on her magazine photo shoots this week because they are so glamorous and fabulous. No matter what her hair colour is or what she wears, she has a unique beauty and style that makes me covet. Hard.

The InStyle ones have got to be my favourite. I love the 60s vibe. I have an urge to do a beehive in my hair today. I'll let you know how that goes.

Bonne Fete

I'm off to celebrate my bff's birthday this weekend. There will be drinks, laughs, dancing and plenty of good times had by all. I'll see you all on Monday! xo

Rinze Van Brug

How lovely are these fashion photos from New York photographer Rinze Van Brug? These ones are from the Dulcinee Clothing shoot. They make me want spring weather ASAP.
