My blog birthday- and I missed it!

I just realized that I missed my own blog birthday. On February 7th, I've been blogging for a year. Crazy or what? Well, Happy Birthday to my blog. I love being able to share what inspires me, tiny details of my life, outfits posts, and recipes. I'd also like to thank my lovely friends who read my blog and are interested in what I have to say!

It's my Birthday!

I turn the ripe old age of 23 today. Surprisingly, I'm looking forward to getting older instead of dreading it. I have so much coming up this year, and I feel like I've finally found myself. It's bound to be an event-filled and fabulous year. So exciting!

whimsical pleasantries

I must be in a baking mood these days because I baked these beauties for my boss' birthday yesterday (A+ for alliteration). The cupcakes are from a box (holla Duncan Hines!!) but I made the icing myself. Don't ask me how, because it was a little of this, a little of that until the right consistency was achieved. Just use lots of icing sugar, some butter, vanilla extract and splashes of milk/cream. 

I had the most fun creating these darling designs. Take a peek:

Because I love this pattern. It would be super cool for halloween decorating with orange and black!

I'm adoring this green and pink colour scheme. How sweet would it be for a little girl's birthday party? Hmm... I have a niece who will be turning 2 in October. I might have to whip these up again! 

Bonne Fete

I'm off to celebrate my bff's birthday this weekend. There will be drinks, laughs, dancing and plenty of good times had by all. I'll see you all on Monday! xo
